Our College Success Program combines college counseling activities along with post-graduation support. The effectiveness of this program is apparent.. Many of our students are the first in their families to attend college and do not have a frame of reference for what life in college is like. Our students arrive on college campuses prepared academically but require additional support to make connections and stay focused. Visits to college campuses, assistance with the financial aid process and solid relationships between Cristo Rey and key colleges and universities help to make this transition easier.
Our Graduate Support Coordinator helps students to access campus resources and troubleshoots issues with enrollment, financial aid, academic support and even managing homesickness. College enrollment and retention data is also meticulously tracked. These targeted interventions, advocacy and connectivity to our graduates is at the forefront of alumni support developing in higher education.
Our goal is that each student graduate from a 2- or 4-year college. Currently our graduates are studying in 40 different colleges and universities in 14 states and the District of Columbia.
