Cristo Rey helped students and graduates process the Chauvin trial by offering several avenues to meet different needs and experiences. Those included the school’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee hosting virtual listening and conversation sessions for students and alumni.

On March 25, Cristo Rey Board Member and Director of the University of St. Thomas' Racial Justice Initiative, Dr. Yohuru Williams, joined students Kadija and Diamond to pause and reflect on the year since George Floyd’s death. The Minnesota Independent School Forum (MISF) honored Cristo Rey Jesuit College Success Team Members, Raquel Gudiel, Elizabeth Rojas, Kia Burton, and Domonick Fields, as well as faculty member Trish Flock-Johnson, at the MN Private & Independent Education Awards on April 29, 2021.

Since opening in 2007, Cristo Rey Jesuit High School has had a 99% graduation rate, with 100% of graduating seniors also accepted to college.
