Reports To: Assistant Principal
FTE/Classification: 1.0 FTE to cover maternity leave (2/10/2019 through 5/11/2019)
Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Primary Functions: The Student & Family Support Coordinator’s primary duty is to provide administrative support to both the student body, and their respective families while assisting the Assistant Principal in navigating student disciplinary matters and overall management of the Assistant Principal's Office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Interpret and translate correspondences in Spanish and English for family meetings, phone calls, and for the Assistant Principals’ Office, Deans, and Social Workers.
• Support morning greeting of students, student follow-up conversations and tardy check-in. Record, share, and collaborate with attendance personnel.
• Conduct tardy intervention review and interventions.
• Period 9 class support:
o Take attendance
o Redirect students
o Supervise students
o Clarify and update period 9 attendance reports
o Support with parent communication and other interventions
• Support student attendance to class:
o Encourage students to be present and on time to class and provide hallway supervision
o Generate tardy to class reports
o Create student intervention notifications
o Conduct tardy to class retraining
o Document in PowerSchool (student database)
• Support Assistant Principal with disciplinary issues, as necessary.
• Implement the High Trust and Positive Behavior Support Program.
• Assist in the supervision of students in common areas, as needed.
• Coordinate with the Assistant Principal to retrain students who need behavioral support.
• Support in maintenance of disciplinary records.
• Support with special programming and events, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Principal.

• College degree or equivalent experience, preferred
• Ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish fluently
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and requests
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and basic office systems
• A friendly and confident personality
• Ability to work without supervision
• Familiarity with the Jesuit education and mission, preferred
• Familiarity with an academic setting, preferred
