Zindy Mooney named Interim Principal for Cristo Rey Jesuit High School

It is with great enthusiasm that Ms. Zindy Mooney has accepted the position of Interim Principal for the 2023-2024 school year, effective July 1, 2023.  

There is no one more qualified or better suited to serve as interim principal than Ms. Mooney. Ms. Mooney is known and respected in our Cristo Rey Community. She is the current Academic Dean for Grades 11-12 and serves as our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator. Prior to joining Cristo Rey in 2021, Ms. Mooney served as the Middle School Dean of Students at Visitation School in Mendota Heights for 3 years. She has 19 years of education experience in the classroom. In addition to her professional work experience, Ms. Mooney has a Bachelor’s Degree from Stanford University, a Master’s Degree in Education from St. Mary’s University, a Master’s Degree in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership from the University of Illinois, and a certificate in Engineering Education from the University of St. Thomas. There is also nobody more committed to the transformational nature of the Cristo Rey mission. I am excited about what the future has in store for Cristo Rey under Ms. Mooney’s leadership. She is the right person to lead at this time.
