At Cristo Rey, not all learning takes place in the classroom. Our students are engaged in challenging extra-curricular activities that go beyond classroom learning and extend into other life enriching lessons and events.

Before the boat can be built, the paddles must first be made. Cristo Rey students made these paddles in September for the maiden voyage in the spring!  

Building History

One of the most popular extra-curricular activities at Cristo Rey is Boat Building. Using traditional and historical boat building techniques, our students are creating one of a kind boats by hand. Follow their progress from construction to their maiden voyage here in the photo blog.
