Making opportunity accessible

At Cristo Rey, students work with their peers and teachers to learn about English, Social Studies, Science, Health, Technology, Math, Business, Religion, Foreign Languages, and the Arts. Students have opportunities for participating in sports and in visual and performing arts when they sign up for those activities at Urban Ventures. A variety of clubs and organizations are available at Cristo Rey for students to express their interests in things such as chess, yearbook, newspaper, and student leadership.

All students have access to a laptop computer to complete schoolwork. During the school day, students work with their peers and teachers through project-based learning. After school, students get academic assistance through working with their peers, tutors, and mentors. Although students may put in longer school days and the school year is longer than other schools, the payoff is academic, social, and employment success!
