(AP) Minneapolis --- The Jesuits are planning to open their first Minnesota high school this coming fall in the Phillips neighborhood of Minneapolis.

The Twin Cities Cristo Rey High School will be part of a network of urban Roman Catholic high schools located around the country that place low-income students in corporate internships.

Students will take religion classes, but don't have to be Catholic to attend. Tuition is around $10,000 a year, but students earn about 70 percent of the cost through the corporate internships.

The students go to work one day a week in entry level jobs at law firms, banks and other businesses.

The school hopes families can contribute $200 a month toward tuition, but principal Kris Melloy said financial aid is available for students who can't afford that.
