Hire4Ed's Purpose:
The Hire4Ed work-study program underwrites the cost of education and exposes the student to a corporate work environment and positive influences of the supervising professionals. In exchange, employers that participate in the Hire4Ed Program receive high quality cost-effective workers and get to play an active role in students' future success.
Hire4Ed Work-Study Program Overview:
How does it work?
Four students share one full-time job, with each student working five full days per month. They are transported to and from work each day, and work standard daily business hours.
Each student is pre-trained in effective communication and professional business skills by Dale Carnegie© trainers. The training prepares students to perform such tasks as filing, copying, faxing, delivering interoffice mail, assembling information packets, very basic data entry, reception, and general "go-for" duties.
Since students are employees of Hire4Ed program, Cristo Rey Jesuit High School provides each corporate participant with continuous support of ou committed staff supervisors.
The program follows the school year, running annually from Labor Day through the third week of June, and corporate sponsors often choose to continue students' employment through the summer months.
