In higher earnings and lower unemployment rates.

But not everyone has an easy access to qualityeducation. Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Twin Cities is part of the nationwide Cristo Rey Network that serves urban students with limited resources who cannot afford a private college preparatory education. Cristo Rey’s unique Hire4Ed work-study program underwrites more than half of the students cost of education, exposes the student to a corporate work environment, and encourages to seek college degree and a better future.
The Program is possible thanks to local corporate partners, big and small, that open their companies and hire our students. These companies are Transforming Urban America One Student at a Time® with us. All of them chose to put the ideals of corporate social responsibility into action, and are facilitating positive changes in the Twin Cities community. Their continuous commitment to be part of the solution and help urban young adults become achieving members of society is invaluable. It is truly amazing how as little as one full-time entry-level position could impact a student’s life. Hear it from our students themselves:
When companies decide to participate in the Hire4Ed Program and become part of the solution, they do more than just hire an office aid.
Over the years we learned that it builds morale in the workplace and attracts the incoming generation of employees who are looking for socially responsible employers. They also receive an exceptional value of work performed by our pre-trained students. As one of our corporate partners put it:
In other words, our corporate partners receive quality employees while meaningfully contributing to the community. Our students, on the other hand, are gaining knowledge, and developing strong values that will last them a lifetime.
