A school that works!
Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in the Twin Cities is part of the nationwide Cristo Rey Network that serves urban students with limited resources who cannot afford a private college preparatory education.
Our unique school model fosters a sense of community among students through a shared dedication toward spiritual, intellectual, and emotional development. Students are also able to recognize how they are a part of the larger society in the following ways:
- As part of the Cristo Rey Network, students are rooted in a nation-wide community of individuals who are committed to a values-centered education in the Jesuit tradition.
- As participants in the Hire4Ed work-study program, students become members of the local business community, gaining valuable work experience while making a real difference in the workplace.
- In association with Urban Ventures Leadership Foundation, students are able to actively participate in their surroundings, acting as role models and leaders working to revitalize their neighborhood community.
- By whole-heartedly embracing their education, students also become a part of the community created by the local and national businesses and individuals who contribute to the support of the school.
